Creating an Appointment - Part 17

The video below will explain how to create an appointment in the Powered Now diary.

 

 

There are a few different places where you can create appointments from within Powered Now. You can create it from either the New Diary Entry button on the home page, in a project under the Add New Item to Project button, or in the diary itself either by clicking the + in the top right or double tapping on the date/time you'd like to create the appointment for.

Once you have chosen to create an appointment, you will be prompted to enter the customer's details and address for the appointment.

(If you are creating the appointment from within a project, the customer and address associated with that project will be automatically filled in for you)

Once you have entered the customer's details, you will proceed to the appointment creation stage. Below is an explanation of each section in the appointment creation process and its purpose.

1. Customer & Location - the customer name and address that the appointment is for (if you need to change the address that the appointment is for, you have the 'Edit Location' button there.

2. Schedule - If the appointment you're creating doesn't have a set date or time, you can set the appointment as unplanned.

3. View Diary - This will take you through to the diary for if you want to double check on what's already booked in.

4. Set Duration - If the appointment you're creating if for the whole day, or a morning or afternoon for the day you are creating it for, it will get book in for that time frame.

5. Set Exact Time - If the appointment is for a specific time, you can enter the start and end time of the appointment.

6. Recurring - if the appointment is going to be an ongoing job over a number of days, weeks or months, you can create recurring appointments to spread across the time frame that the job will be for. For more information on this, click here

7. Title - enter the title of the job

8. Appointment Status - if you wanted to colour code the appointment in the dairy depending on the type of job it's going to be or the state that the job is at. For more information on how you can set this up, click here

9. Appointment Value - If you wanted to enter a value for the appointment (for example if you have an engineer and you want them to collect payment without viewing invoices), you can enter this here.

10. Description - this can be used for any notes about the work that needs to be carried out or any notes about the property that the appointment is for.

11. Assign Team Member - If you have a team on Powered Now, you can assign the appointment to the team member(s) that the appointment will be for (once assigned to a team member, they will be notified about the job)

12. Distance - Here you can see how far the appointment is from either your current location or the office to map out directions

13. Internal Reminder - You can set yourself or the team member assigned to the job a reminder a couple of hours or a day before the appointment on the upcoming job.
